Cheaper Bus fares for Polytechnic students petition

This was emailed to me on a petition to reduce the bus fares for Polytechnic students, sign the petition if you think that it's unfair for us to pay more compared to JC and ITE students. We are still students afterall.

Even though may only come true after i graduate, ill sign the petition to help the future generations.

Dear all,

Petition: High Bus Fares for Polytechnic studentsThere is a petition started by a Polytechnic
student, asking the Bus Companies to revise the fares for Poly students. Currently the Poly students are paying much higher. This is because the Polytechnic is classified under Tertiary Education, but it is not for the Junior Colleges (JCs) and Institute of Technical Education (ITE).As a Poly student myself, I feel that it is unfair that SBS Transit and SMRT are charging the Poly students almost double for the bus and train concessions when compared to those in the JCs and ITE.If you feel that it is unfair and biased that the Bus Companies are charging us higher, please sign this petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/polybus/Please spread the Online Petition URL to others studying in the Polytechnics as well, spread it to your individual Interest Groups (IGs), CCAs, and so on.

Into The Intern

It's been 3 days into my internship at KPMG. (For those who dunno KPMG, their ranked the 4th biggest auditing firms)

I've got the learn a new programming language called COBOL.

and COBOL, if you search it in wiki, it's created in 1959. It's an ancient program lol.

The amazing thing is that most banks and auditing firms are still using it shows that how good the program is.

The interface of the program is like DOS, woo! The mouse is almost next to useless and everything is pretty much dependent on the keyboard. There are no pictures or whatsoever with the whole program in wordings.

The language used is somewhat different from the commonly use Java or C++

Anyway, there is a high demand in COBOL programmers because not many people know about COBOL programming.

Which also means if i am able to master it, i can make big bucks haha. Higher demand = higher pay ^_^

THATS IF I CAN TAHAN TILL THEN.

Staring at COBOL for 8 +/- hours a day is killing me so im off to sleep.
GOOD NIGHT :D
